The universal ceiling fan remote controller is designed to separately control your ceiling fan speed and light brightness. It offers 3-Speed (High/Medium/Low) and OFF for fan speed control, and Light ON/OFF for light control (NO DIMMING). This universal ceiling fan remote can work well with LED bulbs and also incandescent, but it has no dimmer function for the light kit - just "on" & "off" only.
The remote control matches the receiver through the learning button, without 4 dip switches. It's not equipped with a Reverse button, but is compatible with fans that have a reverse switch themselves. This stand-alone miniature remote control can be stored on the wall or used as a handheld remote, and can be easily removed from the wall switch.
To set the function of the learning button, first disconnect the receiver's power cord and connect it again to restart the receiver. Then press the "Study Button" (a small hole in the battery case) of the remote control within 30 seconds and keep this action for 3-5 seconds. If you hear your receiver making a beeping sound or the indicator light flashes a few times, the match is successful.
Installing the receiver in the ceiling fan is straightforward, as the wires are labelled and have the correct color codes. Connect the ceiling fan and light according to the wiring label of the receiver. The remote control uses a 9V battery, which is not included in the package.
If you control multiple ceiling fans in the house, check that the PIN code settings are different between them, or it may let a transmitter next door or your neighbor's remote activate the ceiling fan in your other rooms, causing it to turn on unexpectedly.
Before using the wireless remote control, use the pull chain switch to turn the wind speed to maximum and turn the fan light on. Only in this way can the pull chain switch and wireless remote control be used together.
